Air Deccan offers Rs. 9 tickets for April to June 2006

Air Deccan has announced that the bookings for its summer schedule will start from Sunday, the 12th November 2006. The airline will offer tickets starting from Rs.9 for the months of April, May and June. However, this fare is exclusive of taxes.

Air Deccan has recently sold 1 lac Rs. 9 tickets for the months of January to March. The bookings were opened on 5th of November and the tickets were sold out in a couple of days.

If you have planned out your summer schedule, we recommend you to log on to the Air Deccan website as early as possible on the 12th of November to fix your air fares in advance. You should also bear in mind that the cancellation charges in case of discounted fares are very high, so carefully read all the instructions and rules before booking your flight.

Book air tickets for Rs. 9 on Air Deccan flights

Air Deccan has announced that it will sell one lac tickets for Rs. 9 for travels on all sectors of the airline till 25th March 2006. Air Deccan has made this offer on celebrations of Suvarna Utsava of Karnataka. The state has completed 50 years of its formation. The airline has also announced the launch of its new route from Bangalore to Hampi scheduled to commence from 15th November 2006. The bookings can be made at the website of airdeccan. However this fare is exclusive of all taxes.

The discounted tickets are expected to exhaust soon considering the heavy discounts offered by the airline, so in case you are scheduling a trip before 25th March 2006, book your flights now, Rs. 9 tickets will not be available for long.

Air Deccan is known for its low priced tickets, but the prices have recently been challenged by new entrants like Spicejet and Goair. These kind of discounts would attract the passengers back to Air Deccan.

Air Deccan to start Madurai-Bangalore flight

The new Balangore Madurai flight of Air Deccan will take off from 30th October 2006. The airline wants to have a broad reach within the Country. The company wants to cover destinations that no other airlinesĀ  cover. As per the plans of the company the carrier would start operating from all the airports of Tamil Nadu.

At present the Madurai Airport does not have good infrastructure and other facilities, however, they are improving with the overall growth in the aviation industry. The airline is planning to launch a Mumbai Madurai flight soon.

The fare of Madurai Balangalore flight will be placed in the range of Rs. 600 to Rs. 2500. The proposed service is slated to increase the business of the company as Madurai is seen to be a good destination forĀ  business as well as tourist passengers. The carrier is also planning to introduce A320 service from the mid of 2007 if the infrastructure and other services improve by the time.

The management is also exited about the new destination on the back of successful launch of Tuticorin Chennai flight, the company is planning an additional flight to Tuticorin.

The low cost airline is rapidly expanding its base by reaching out to remote places. The company intends to make flying a common mode of transport by taking it to the common man and making it affordable for him as well.

Air Deccan takes a new route to Aircraft Funding

Deccan Aviation has sold rights to South Way Aircraft Trading for purchase of 60 Airbus A320 Aircraft to be delivered over 7 years.
The South Way Aircraft Trading shall be funded by UK based Investec Bank and Germany based HSH Nord Bank. The rights were sold for USD 100 million and the company has already received first tranche of USD 30 million.
In case Deccan Aviation does not take any aircraft for its use, the company can sell the aircrafts in market to other airlines to recover the investments made by the lenders.
The cash flow of USD 100 million will add to the profits of the company.
Air Deccan had posted a loss of 340 crore during last financial period of 15 months ending June 2006. The addition of USD 100 million will add to the bottomline of the company and will reduce its losses further in next financial year. The amount will be received in 15 months in 4 trahches.
The foreign banks also stand to gain as they have ensured their profits on sale of 60 aircrafts irrespective of the performance of the airline.
